8:1. இதற்குப் பின்பு தாவீது பெலிஸ்தரை முறிய அடித்து, அவர்களைக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, மேத்தேக் அம்மாவைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டான்.

8:1. இதற்குப் பின்பு தாவீது பெலிஸ்தியரை வென்றான். பெலிஸ்தியரின் தலைநகரம் பரந்த நிலப்பகுதியைக் கொண்ட நகரமாக இருந்து வந்தது. தாவீது அந்த இடங்களின் ஆட்சியைக் கைப்பற்றினான்.
